Our microblading fundamentals training combines art principles that will provide students a solid foundation to build upon in permanent makeup with INK SOCIETY’S Founder/Lead Instructor Shana Irish. Class sizes are small to allow each student quality one-on-one time with instructors as they work on multiple live models start to finish. These classes are designed so that students will be able to CONFIDENTLY start microblading on their own upon completion of the course.
Our starter course is designed for beginners as well as microbladers looking to perfect the fundamentals of producing a beautiful brow.
6 days of hands-on training experience learning proper habits to ensure your success. In preparation for the 5-day hands on training students are given our pre-training home study manual to bring you up to speed with the ins and outs of permanent make up. We expect you to spend around 40 hours at home, studying the material. It is crucial you take this part of your course seriously, as it teaches you all the theory you’ll need to know before putting your skills into practice with Shana. We have found this helps students feel more relaxed and familiarized with her techniques, improving overall knowledge retention. To ensure we offer our students the best training experience and value, we cover the following schedule:

As the demand for machine shading continues to grow we offer to new students the option to learn the basics of machine shading during the Shading Course.
We recommend students either bring their own tattoo machine or Ink Society will assist you with purchasing a machine as it is not included in our Shading Kit.. Just like the Microblading Training Kit students receive on the first day of class, the Shading Kit comes with the same quality, professional supplies that our lead instructor Shana uses daily on her own clients.
See kit details here, this pricing is set at cost for all supplies included and only available to new students attending this course.
At INK SOCIETY we believe that its important to not only work on a NEW live model start to finish. Each student will work on 2 models start to finish with an instructor by their side as well as assist other students with a 3rd model.

Meet Your Instructor

My earliest memories center around art! Growing up with both parents as internationally recognized artists, creativity was a part of everyday life. That being said, my parents urged me to become a lawyer, despite receiving a full art scholarship to college. After one year of pre-law, I knew that wasn’t going to be my path! Shortly thereafter, I enrolled in Esthetics Training at The Aveda Institute where Horst Rechelbacher, the creator of Aveda, was one of my talented instructors. Thus began my journey into the world of beauty! I’ve worn many hats during my 21 year career but there was always something missing… Art! I decided to add another skill to my resume and received training for Cosmetic Tattooing from Nouveau Contour Academy. It has been one of the best decisions of my life and allows me to combine both my love for esthetics with my artistic talent. Robert Henri, an american painter, once said, “Art can be a powerful voice for anything, and artists should be the people that keep track of the unnoticed adventures underlying the routine of daily life. Art is the means to jolt ourselves and others awake to the wonder of being alive!” I strive to live my life by his words and create beauty wherever possible!
